I grew up thinking and believing that only hearing people could share the Good News, and my sole role was just to sit in church and to be ministered to. I didn't think I could be useful in the house of the Lord. But when I went to a Deaf-led church I was stunned. I saw Deaf people leading, worshiping, praying, and sharing God's Word. God could use me too.

I thought that God didn't understand sign language, and that I had to learn to use my voice to pray. But now I realize that God created me in His image and He understands my language...sign language!

Our families never let us forget that we were different. Not normal. Not part of their world. We were ready to end it all. But a Deaf missionary shared the truth with us. God loves us, and through that, we have hope.
